The Patient Rights Act established PASS (Patient Advice and Support Service). PASS operates independently of the NHS and offers free, confidential information, advice, and support to anyone using NHS services in Scotland.
The service aims to promote awareness and understanding of patients’ rights and responsibilities, and provides guidance and support for those wishing to give feedback, share comments, raise concerns, or make complaints about the care and treatment they have received.
